Lately I’m managing quite a few blogs to publicize my own website, wordpress based blogs are obvious and easy choice for me, as we all know that WordPress is ideal for almost all kinds of blogging needs, people even use it as CMS, together with Open Source License make the wordpress the most favored blogging kit around the globe.

Lately I figured that I should build my own blogs and promote them, afterwards I can use the already built blogs to promote whatever I want, and I think its not a patentable idea, all kinds of blog networks are out there for the exact purpose, but those are not my own sites and I don’t have control, in addition there is no way I can post to them, obviously I will have to pay the owner to use their blogs, probably not cheap at all.

Its a tedious job to maintain more than a few blogs, if you’re not using your blogs as spamming device, the real content writing is time and money consuming, a successful blog needs a lot of hard work. I’ve seen quite a few real world examples, let’s examine this one, Luggage Straps, it has a nice name, and it has a lot of interesting posts, though its not a theme focused blog, there are all kinds of posts on the site. One more example, Dog House, this one has main theme, all posts are following the same theme, there are a few well ranked keywords for this blog. I can show you a lot more sites, but the basics are all the same. One more important point, you should build some casual blogs, put some random content on those blogs occasionally, take one blog as example, Best Business Hosting, this will make a blog network more like naturally built blog groups.

After you successfully build a few blogs, probably you can add a few more blogs to your arsenal, the old blogs will be helpful in promoting your newly built ones, this is the way to build your own blogging network. It sounds pretty simple, but the real stuff will be more complicated, do remember don’t do any black hat tricks for your sites, if you get dropped off there is no come back.
